“Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.” Proverbs 2:5
Once again, the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”) is at the back of these words.
Proverbs 2:5 shows us that if we set the fear of the Lord as our life’s aim, He will grant us His spiritual knowledge. This is a blessing that we should not underestimate, for it is a truly great thing.
The “fear of the Lord” is the reverence of the Lord in worship and service. We are to come before the Lord in complete humility as a child, recognizing that we are all spiritual beggars. When our posture before the Lord is one of worship and dependence, then He assures us that He will give us the gift of spiritual wisdom. We know that wisdom exists. We must also know and believe that God has got to be the One to give it to us.
Receiving is the key word for so much of the Christian life. Our striving after wisdom is not so much the point of these Scriptures as our dependence on God for it is. We are dependent on Jesus for salvation, and we are dependent on Him for wisdom.
We need to be reminded of Scripture’s assurance that the Lord is the “giver of every good and perfect gift,” (James 1:17). God delights in giving us the spiritual graces He knows we need, from salvation to the wisdom we need to live every day.

This is an interesting post as I wonder if you know what true fear of the Lord is. Correct fear of the Lord would keep you grounded in His word and you could not be associated with the denomination you represent. One day you will have to give an account and this false doctrine is very dangerous. I pray that you will truely repent and return to depending on the Lord for wisdom instead of man.
